LSE decisions

Hello,

I went thru the specialism of UCL, LSE, KCL; it appears UCL has a clearly thorough list of specializations. I found both LSE and KCL's to be quite mangled and vague.

Can anyone provide their insights on this. Can LSE be more hyped internationally than UCL?

Thanks,

Ohima

hi
I applied to LSE on 13th December and my status reads wait listed. Is there any chance of me getting in inspite of applying so late.Although i've already got a call from Kings and i didnt apply in UCL but LSE would be my priority incase i get an offer.

I honestly don't know. I'd accept Kings, then risk trying to 'unnaccept' if you get a place at LSE.

Best of luck,

Hey,
I don't if this helps. I wrote an email to LSE on 15th January asking if there is still a possibility in applying and I got the answer that they are still open for applications. So I assume that in any case applications arriving until the middle of January have a chance. Good luck!

I submitted my application on December 5. The eigt-week deadline is long past. Its extremely unnerving to know that even the waitlist is eluding me.

I was told by LSE that the two weeks around Xmas are excluded from the 8 weeks´ period. So with Xmas it is actually 10 weeks´period.

Wow! All these posts look very discouraging, because I applied only on Jan.25. Nevertheless, I still hope that there is a chance for admission.

I am a European attorney who got LL.M in the US, then got admitted there in two states and now applied for LSE LL.M. It was my understanding that under circumstances, I don't need to submit TOEFL results. Can anybody who were in the same situation and whose application has been reviewed, tell me if I am correct? If not, I will have to search for my old results.

This question is for those who have already received offers: Do you think LSE puts any weight into work experience?
In case with US LL.M programs, too many years of diverse experience were less appealing than 1-2 years of specialized experience.

Thanks.

Hey...Got an "unconditional offer" status yesterday...My application was "complete" on Nov 20, so that wait was a killer! Big relief though...

Along with that, I got a message to the effect that -

"It has been determined, based on the standard of your application etc...that you are eligible to apply online for a Graduate Support Scheme..."

Anyone else who has got an intimation like that?? My guess would be that the very best candidates get an outright grant with their admission offers, but others like me might get a kind of second chance....

All the best to those still waiting!

I applied to LSE on 9th Jan. After waiting for this long, the status is waitlisted. I called them up and they have said they will get back to me in a couple of weeks time.

But then, couple of weeks is a debatable issue! :-(

My application hasn't been processed yet as they are waiting for my transcripts.

I applied on Jan. 25. 08. Is it too late? When should I expect to hear back?

I applied on December 5. No news at all. My nerves are getting all bundled up. I don't know if its safe being optimistic anymore.

You are kind hjscotland. But its getting worse with every passing day. Even anticipating the waitlist is not a happy thought. When did you hear from them?

it took me almost 9.5 weeks to get a response. the wait was horrible, I agree! Unfortunately there is nothing you can do.
