I graduated from a US law school (ranked 69th by USN) over a decade ago with poor grades (translate - bottom third). Since, I have been a successful trial attorney and am now keen to enter a LLM program (international crim law/human rights) in the UK. Anyone have insight as to which of the better programs would be more likely to accept such a student?

Hello,
I can only tell you what i think is a good idea and what worked out really well for me: Spend some time making an excel sheet and write down all the universities that interest you and then apply for all of them and keep track on the excel file. I did it with 20 universities and got accepted by my favorite one where i thought i would stand no chance (and a lot of other ones as well). For some of them you have to pay a few pounds but its a life-changing experience and worth a try.
Best luck and have some trust in yourself.
