Several questions

Minion

Hi everyone,

I had a couple of questions regarding the application foe universities in the United States.

First of all I was wondering if law schools regularly contact recommenders? I’m planning to apply to quite a lot of universities in order to increase my changes and it would be a bit annoying for them if they would get calls and mails of all of them.

Secondly, I was wondering if other law schools could see for how many law schools you applied through LSAC?

Lastly, I was wondering for how many universities you applied? I had ten universities in mind but I don’t know I think I’m exaggerating. My profile is quite weak (no distinctions during my undergraduate and I took me 4 years in order to pass instead of 3), but it’s my dream to study in the states so I would like to spread my changes.

Thank you so much for all of your help.

From what I've heard they only contact the recommenders if they have any doubt regarding the recommendation. So, as a standard, they do not contact recommenders.

I don't know if other law schools can see how many schools have you applied for, I would guess not. However, in a few application forms they ask for which other law schools you applied or plan to apply.

I applied to 9 schools. I think you should only apply for those schools that you actually see yourself attending. Also, have in mind that you will have to do a research about each of them to write a strong personal statement explaining why you want to go there.
