Apologies for my ignorance, but I am considering applying for LLM programs in the UK. I am having a bit of difficulty understanding the requirements for enrollment. I am a US student, with a four year bachelor's degree in International Relations. Most UK LLM pages state that they require an undergraduate law degree or the U.S. equivalent. I am confused as to what the US equivalent would be. Do I need a JD to apply for these programs, or will my BA suffice?

To enter a LLM that normally requires an LLB you would need a JD. If you don't want to do that I suggest you look instead for what we call a qualifying law masters: a MA in Laws or an LLM that is articulated with our Graduate Diploma in Law (a one-year intensive course in law for those without an LLB).
