I have been accepted for Masters in Advanced PIL LLM (ICL track) at Leiden University. I just recieved a mail from Leiden where they have decided to hold the entire first semester online. However, they are taking into consideration international students who would like to come to the Netherlands during the first semester and are open to arranging some social events for them. They also state there is a possibility of meetings with the teachers and for students who choose to come to Netherlands.

What are the thoughts of international students who are on the same boat as me? Would love to have more perspective to make a better decision since I am still confused about accepting or deferring.

I'm in the same position but for the European Law programme. I decided
that I'm going, because if I decided to postponed my application, although the
chances of being admitted  for the next academic year are high, they
cannot guarantee my place if admission requirements change. About
the online semester other universities in the NL are preparing to come back to face
to face education by October/November and I hope the same happens with Leiden.
I also think is a big downside the fact that classes will be online for the first
semester because of the social part of doing this course, however, I really
hope things get better soon and that face to face interaction can happen more
often. There is another thing: by February next year they intend to be fully on
campus again so we would have the whole spring semester to have this face to face
experience. But for sure this is not the better situation to start the course,
but considering all of it I’m going.
