Apologies if this query is somewhat similar to a few other discussion threads but I wondered if anyone would be able to assist with advising me on whether my creditials would be reasonably adequate for admission onto Leiden’s PIL LLM.

I graduated from KCL with a 2:i in History. Following this, I completed a GDL to commendation level whilst working as a paralegal firstly in real estate and then in financial crime and sanctions at a magic circle UK law firm, both as a fee earner and in terms of internally advising on business acceptance to senior analyst level. I aim to finish my LLB this year (part time). I have previously sat on the board of a prison and volunteered with victims of crime. Accompanying this is the usual work ex/Vac schemes/mini pups.

I aim to use the LLM as a springboard to an associate level role in compliance in the investment banking sector before (hopefully) going into practice at the UK bar specialising in crime and regulatory law.

Several of you on here have attended Leiden and studied this course and/or have a good familiarity with the admissions process, so I would very much appreciate your input. Many thanks
