Law school application numbers are finally beginning to reflect the poor job prospects for graduates, dropping 11.5 per cent 66,876 over the past year. The Law School Admission Council Inc says that these figures represent the lowest application rate 2001.
The American Bar Association is among a number of voices warning of the risks associated with taking large student loans to pay for law degrees. An ABA report published in 2009 said: "The rising cost of a legal education and the realities of the legal job market mean that going to law school may not pay off. The report noted that the average law student could expect to graduate with more than $100,000 in school debt.

I wonder if the LLM figures are any different. The irony is that the tuition fees keep skyrocketing (more than 50% in 10 years)!
