Hi,
I'm French, I did all my law studies in France and now I work as an in-house counsel for a French company in Spain.
In France we make a distinction between in-house counsel, who have no particular status, and lawyers who have passed the bar exam.
I would like to take advantage of being in Spain to obtain the status of lawyer in Spain (abogado) and then possibly become a lawyer in France thanks to the equivalence if I go back there one day.
I have read that now, in order to pass the bar exam in Spain with a French diploma, you have to take a legal university course in Spain first.
Do you know if an LLM would be enough to be admitted to the bar in Spain ? Do you think it would be feasible to do an LLM part-time while working ?
Thank you for your help.
