Tried to get some info about average salary of jurist / legal adviser in Netherlands, but what I found is a bit amazing. Excellent renumeration 3000 EUR in gross. Is this true? Any dutch LLM-holder has a work experience in Netherlands?
thanks,

I have read the above posts and of interest to me is to know the average cost of living in the Netherlands, so that one can gauge how much would be saved from the starting salary as quoted above.
Secondly, how difficult / easy is it for an english speaking individual to obtain work in the Netherlands, for instance after obtaining a LLM in international taxation?
I am planning to start my LLM in International Taxation in the 2009/2010 from any of the dutch universities offering the course.

The salary you posted is not unthinkable here. The big law firms do offer that amount to starting lawyers. I think the highest paid salary by a law firm here is about E45.000,- a year. Living costs are not high if you're an average spender. The lowest salary from the top firms is E32.000,- a year. The middle and smaller firms have of course lower salaries but it all depends on what you've studied, your grades, your experience etc.
I know for a fact that tax lawyers make even more..
Hope this helped you!
