I want to know about the eligibility to sit for the NY Bar

AAAAAstar

I'm quite positive that I used to see the email adress of the NY Bar(Foreigner Department) on this board. It is

foreign@nybarexam.org

but two times in a row the failure delivery notification arrived to me that it --FAILED--!

Is there anyone who knows about how to contact this mentioned department directly bec. I want to know exactly about the eligibility of NY Bar test taker? (In case of mine, I'm not quite sure that the word "practice law" in its case means!)

I've never taken my country's (Thailand) Bar and have no license

BUT

it's still OK (in my country)to work as a legal consultant/clerkship! So, is the word "practice law" cover such mentioned situations?

If you go to Emory University School of Law- LLM Program. They have a section dedicated to sitting for the NY Bar because this school prepares many foreign attorneys to sit for it.

In addition to the above, to take the Bar in NY you review the (BOLE) Board of Law Examiners of the State of New York www.nybarexam.org/. If you are a Foreign Attorney you must pre-determine eligibility by completing a form at www.mybarexam.org/Docs/eval_form.pdf.

I hope this helps - I needed to this myself so I am going to the process as we speak. Good luck.
