Foreign Evaluation Supporting Documentation Requirements

Toni Tong

Hello everyone,

Please help me. The New York State Board of Law Examiners requires that all supporting documentation MUST come directly from the issuing institutions and/or government agencies in a sealed envelope. As I have been admitted to practice law in Hong Kong, I am required to attach a copy of my admission certificate from the High Court of Hong Kong. However, I have asked High Court and they said that they will only issue a certificate to me but will not send the certificate to the New York State Board for me.

Did anyone come across similar problem when they submitted their request for an evaluation?

Thanks a lot!!

Thanks for the information! May I know if you have put your certificate of good standing in a sealed envelope of ministry of justice or you just send that paper alone? And do you mean that you send the transcript and certificate from your own address?
