Hello

i was born, and studied in Chile, i´m finishing my first law degree (undergraduate with certificate in Commercial and Economic Law) in the Pontifical Catholic School of Chile, which takes 10 semesters, and i want to work as an attorney in the states, but i have many questions.

I read, that the "best" states to take the bar exam and become an authorized lawyer at, were california and new york, and at first i read that i just needed a first law degree and an L.L.M approved, but now i read that i needed studies equivalent to a Juris Doctor degree.

So,
Which State Should i pick?
Which university is best for the L.L.M? Under 40K
After that, will it take me more than a year to find a Job?
Is it enough with my first degree and the L.L.M to take the exam in at least one state?
Do i reeeally need a J.D?

help
