In my opinion, it depends on whether you intend to gain employment in UK or Australia subsequently.
Also, it depends on the calibre of the UK or Australia Law School you are able to get into. With the exception of University of Melbourne and a few other top Australian Universities, the better schools generally do not have a quota for entry (compared to UK universities).
Finally, it depends on where you are able to afford as well - I would think a UK LLM would have more international standing but an Australian LLM is decent as well and you'd be paying much lesser!
Hope this helps - again my two cents!
Cheers,
G

Hello rani,
The short answer is that there are rarely legal jobs for foreign educated/qualified lawyers in Australia because the market is saturated witht sufficient supply of local qualified graduates.
If you are intending to work in Australia, I would recommend taking the requisite courses to qualify for practice in Australia (some schools allow you to do that in their LLM program) and determine if you are eligible to apply for a Visa independently.
Cheers,
G
