Thanks for all the info pseu-wolf.
Also, can we make a fb group for the 2016-17 batch??
It's isn't very convenient to read posts here.

Hey everybody, I received a few days ago an offer for the General Programme, but no word concerning IADR, which was my first choice...
Did anybody already receive scholarship confirmation?

Congrats to all who already received an offer and fingers crossed for those who are still waiting!

Hey Guys! Congrats to all those who have received their offers!
No word on the scholarships yet! Did anyone from this group hear anything..? Do keep us posted.
Btw, people who have sent in their acceptances, what are you all doing about accommodation?
I would prefer renting an apartment with a group of people rather than staying in a hostel..
Anybody who's looking out for similar accommodation options, drop me a P.M.

I think they should be sending information about accommodation application mid-May. I am hoping to get into university accommodation - but if not, similarly apartment is a preference for me.

I think I am going to take the offer. It seems that university apartment is limited and usually not available to LLM students. So i guess we have to rent outside the campus.

do you have any idea yet?

Hey everyone! This is Preet from Mumbai, India.

I received an admit for CFSL yesterday and have accepted it. Pretty satisfied since it's my 1st preference. Who else is pursuing CFSL?

About the accommodation, I have applied to College Green. But I'd still be keen to rent if it's cheaper and not terribly inconvenient.

Did you only fill out the online application for it? How likely is to get a place there? It looks quite okay to me accommodation-wise, but I just wonder what are the chances of getting it.

Hey!! As far as I have heard, College Green gives first preference to the Policy School students and then to the law school students. I've heard that the sooner you apply the better chances you have at getting in. Not sure though, because I've also heard that they do reject a lot of applications for accommodations.

Yes, I filled the online form. I, too, have heard that Policy school students are preferred over others. No harm in giving it a shot, though. But I'm really keen to rent close to the campus. I'm sure it'll be cheaper. Plus, gives you a lot of freedom.

Hey guys! So it turns out that my scholar-ship sank too! Have sent my acceptance though. Still figuring out the loan options from banks here, having a hard time. Strange thing is when I approached SBI for a loan, they refused saying they do not give loans for professional course and LLM is one. I retorted saying that for medicine courses you do give which is also a professional course. They said yes but there's a difference between how people get placed after an LLM and those after masters in medicine! Also, that there aren't dedicated placement services for LLM students. Very weird. A few other banks require mortgaging a property for that big an amount.
Phew, seems like the end of the road for me. :-/

All the best to you all! :)

A colleague told me banks don't easily sanction education loans for LL.M. unless you have strong financial documents. I've been trying to procure a loan myself.

Did anyone actually hear something about scholarship?

I'm also still waiting on an answer concerning my first choice IADR but have a deadline until Friday to accept the offer I got for my second choice... Is someone else in the same situation?

Good luck to you though! Hope you get what you wanted

Hi i too sent my acceptance for IBL yesterday. But there is no announcement for the fees as yet..i am worried that they might hike it.
Soumya90, where did you come across the amount of 22000 SGD because when i clicked on the link from the offer letter, they are still saying 'to be confirmed' ?

Hi guys,
I just got this reply from the Admissions office with regard to the fees for IBL.

'Dear Saumya Sadanand

Thank you for the e-mail.

Please be informed that we are currently pending for confirmation on the revised fee of IBL (if any) and shall keep you informed as soon as there are updates.

We are sorry that we are not able to respond as prompt as we wished to, due to the current peak period at Admissions.

Best regards, NUS Law Graduate Admissions'.

So seems like we just have to wait it out for any confirmation on fees!
