How much is the fee for this year LLM corp and fin. I am a bit confused as the chart that is made available has 33,400 SD as full fees and 27,800 for foreign students. I am an Indian resident so how much do i need to pay?

Hey
I got an offer for the general LLM course yesterday. Does anyone know if we can reject the offer later in case we get in somewhere else? Thanks!

Tina,
I've applied to College Green and GR at UTown, not sure if I should be looking for more alternatives though..
How about you?

Hey Guys,
If u get an accommodation at Utown better take it coz it will work out the cheapest for u in Singapore for a Single room and the accommodation is pretty good... As u have a shuttle bus from Kent Ridge to the Law College Campus, so travelling should not be a concern... Also Utown has amazing study rooms with cubicles plus gym and swimming pool facilities amongst other facilities. I can vouch for this as I have lived in Utown for 10 months now... College green is good but will cost u atleast 1000 SGD as ur rent does not include electricity and stuff...

Perfect... One advantage about Rc 4 is breakfast and dinner will not be an issue... But walking to the bus stop for the shuttle bus will be quiet a bit... And about pgp, it has an amazing food court... And I hope u applied for it on the same day the applications were open... There is too much rush in sem 1 due to students on exchange and they get confirmed accommodation...

Karthik,
Just curious, is the competition to get a spot in Utown/PGPR rather tight or will we most certainly get it? I mean, do we have to also arrange spare accommodation in case our applications don't get through the selection process? I'm just making sure cos my application in College Green wasn't successful :-/

That's surprising that ur application at CG was not successful... With Utown/PGPR it is surely a tough competition in first sem due to exchange student having confirmed accommodation... So would suggest u to arrange for a spare accommodation... There's and hostel next to the campus which was earlier Evan's lodge but now the name is changed which I need to ask my friends who stay over there... It was recently renovated and apparently has good rooms... Will PM u once i get the details... Also try SIA tough I am not a great fan of the rooms there... U can PM me for ne further clarifications as I generally read the thread rarely and read the PM's frequently...

guys my application to NUS utown was unsuccessful i am looking for alternative accommodation. reviews of evans lodge are terrible so I am sceptical about the accommodation there. as far as college green is concerned i won't rely on it as chances of getting a place there maybe very grim. Plz share your thoughts.

Nobody I know from India has gotten into any one of the NUS hostels. I seriously find it so strange that none of our applications were successful. I applied on the first day itself when the window opened. Anyways guys check out the private hostels. Not too happy with them cos some of them look like prison rooms. That's what I am doing besides begging anyone/everyone I know in Singapore to give me an idea of the apartment rental rates which I believe is quite expensive. Honestly I have no idea where I am gonna be staying. Hmmphhh! :(

@pri18883 same here i applied on the same day the application window opened. yet i am here stranded. and its so pissing off. if u r interested we can look for a place together, my only priority is to be close to the campus. certain places like yo;ha have this single unit out on rent. but its expensive close $S2000 and they expect 4 people to take up one unit..

Hey teater and pri, I'm one of those many Indians whose application was unsuccessful. Haha. :P and I'm as clueless as you people are about applying for accommodation. I'm thinking of taking up a room at sic or evans for a couple of weeks till I find some other accommodation.

Welcome to the club Ayush. ;) We are all stranded now looking desperately for accomodation. All of us Indians have been denied acco at NUS. :p
Posted Jun 19, 2013 10:51
hahahahhahah!ayush i doubt evans lodge gives out accommodation for a few weeks. minimum is 3 months stay. thats what the website says.

what a pity party we have here. :p sorry i can't help but laugh at our distress now.
