Hello all,

The University of Ottawa (potentially) offers what appears to be a unique LLM program for students/lawyers completing a judicial clerkship at a Canadian court. See here:

http://www.llmlld.uottawa.ca/en/prospective-students/llm/law-clerk-option-subject-to-senate-approval.html

Essentially, the program permits current or past judicial clerks to complete the University's LLM with Research Paper requirements while taking two fewer law courses than would otherwise be necessary. I'm curious to receive comments concerning the viability of completing the LLM requirements while clerking in Ottawa, comments regarding the LLM program at U Ottawa in general, and comments from anyone who has already applied for or completed this particular program option.

FYI: the University's website indicates that the Law Clerk Option is "subject to Senate approval", so I'm not even certain whether it is officially up and running, but I seem to recall having read this same program description a few years back... Perhaps the site is outdated?

Comments are appreciated.
