The Law School

An established and growing centre of law teaching for 40 years, our range of degrees provides an excellent beginning for a career in law. And we also offer training in other legal aspects necessary for a number of careers.

Our degrees are available in a flexible, modular structure, which allows a choice of specialist areas of study. These can include opportunities for students to develop their skills in mooting, client interviewing, and negotiating.

We currently offer the degrees of bachelor of law (LLB), Bachelor of Arts (law), and master of law (LLM) together with the Graduate Diploma in Law and the research degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). There is also a wide selection of degrees where law can be taken as part of a degree with another subject, such as business or marketing.

Many of our Business and Law courses are recognised by the relevant professional bodies. Our LLM course is accredited by the Law Society and the Institute of Legal Executives. In addition, the Graduate Diploma in Law is recognised by the Law Society and the Council of Legal Education. (Visit our website for a full list of accreditation.)

The Program

At Kingston, our teaching is focused very much on applying theory to real, practical situations. And all our courses are structured to ensure a stimulating and balanced programme of study.

All courses offer flexible attendance and learning styles to make sure different personal needs are catered for. Plus the experience is enhanced with the use of a wide range of teaching resources including e-learning technologies, interactive classroom sessions and student-led group projects.

At the same time our academic staff demonstrate practical experience in their specialist fields, and they keep in touch with what is happening in the real world via research, consultancy and interaction with a range of experienced Visiting Professors, Fellows and guest speakers from industry and the judiciary.

Student Life

And the beautiful Kingston Hill campus itself boasts state-of-the-art facilities and recently underwent £5 million extension. Close to Richmond Park and Wimbledon Common, the campus is only 25 minutes from central London – making it easily accessible from both the city and major transport hubs.
