These courses are open to all legal and business professionals. A TOEFL score is not required, however all lectures are taught in English.
● Orientation in U.S.A. Law (July 11 - August 7, 2010)
THIS IS OUR MOST POPULAR SUMMER PROGRAM.
Lawyers, judges, prosecutors and defenders, notaries, law professors, pre-LL.M. candidates and business professionals attend this program to gain a better understanding of the theories and practices of the U.S. legal system.

● The Global Trading System (August 9-20, 2010)
Many students continue with this advanced course immediately after completing the Orientation in U.S.A. Law course.

● 13th Annual International Commercial Law Seminar in Köln, Germany (June 14-25, 2010)
This seminar qualifies for continuing legal education (CLE) credit in California and New York.

● English for Legal Professionals (June 28 - July 9, 2010)
This course provides an introduction or review of English as used by legal professionals in the United States. Participants study and practice vocabulary, reading, writing and oral communication skills pertaining to legal and business topics.

Entry Requirements
Requirements for the one-year LL.M. program:There is a minimum TOEFL score of 570 (or 230 for the computer-based examination TOEFL-CBT or 88-89 for the iBT exam) required by the law school for foreign language applicants to the LL.M. Program. International applicants must present satisfactory evidence of the completion of legal academic training at an accredited educational institution. American applicants must have completed at least six years of residential study at accredited colleges and law schools and must hold a professional degree from a law school approved by the American Bar Association.
Requirements for the summer LL.M. in International Commercial Law program:
International applicants must present satisfactory evidence of the completion of legal academic training at an accredited educational institution. Domestic applicants must have completed at least six years of resident study at accredited colleges and law schools and must hold a professional degree from a law school approved by the American Bar Association. All applicants whose primary language is not English are required to fulfill the English Language Requirement. There are three ways to meet the requirement:
(1) Submit an official TOEFL score report with a minimum iBT score of 79-80 (or 213 computer-based or 550 paper-based). Our institution code for the TOEFL is 4778;
or (2) Take the exam at the end of Orientation in U.S.A. Law and earn a "B" or better;
or (3) Attain the highest level in the 10-week Intensive English Program (offered March through June every year) at UC Davis Extension prior to beginning the LL.M. program.

Tuition and Fees
Tuition for the one-year LL.M. program is $30,750.Tuition for the summer LL.M. in International Commercial Law program is $26,500, and may be paid over several years on a pay-as-you-go basis.
Tuition for Orientation in U.S.A. Law is $3,600. There is a $200 discount for those who enroll before June 1, 2010.
Tuition for The Global Trading System is $2,500. There is a $100 discount for those who enroll before June 15, 2010.
Tuition for the International Commercial Law Seminar in Köln, Germany is $2,750. There is a $100 discount for those who enroll before April 15, 2010.
Tuition for English for Legal Professionals is $1,450.
