For over one hundred years, The Catholic University of America's Columbus School of Law has trained many of the nation's most distinguished lawyers and judges. In law firms, federal and local government, the judiciary, and the public sector, our graduates are recognized for their knowledge, competence and ethics. Committed to providing the highest quality legal education in an increasingly global society, the Columbus School of Law offers its Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree program to graduates of U.S. and foreign law schools. The LL.M. is an advanced program of legal study that is customized to the needs of the individual student. LL.M. candidates, mentored by expert faculty, plan a course of study from the following concentrations: Banking and Commercial Law, Communications Law, Securities Law, Trusts and Estates, or Comparative and International Law. Through the law school's extensive curricular offerings, LL.M. candidates enhance their knowledge for practice by acquiring significant expertise in the area of specialization they have selected.The Faculty
The CUA law faculty is well-recognized for its teaching and scholarly distinction throughout a comprehensive and well-structured curriculum. The law school takes full advantage of its strategic location just minutes from the Congress and the Supreme Court by enlivening required study with presentations by national and international decision-makers, either as adjunct faculty or distinguished lecturers. Application deadline for U.S. applicants is July 1, 2010. International Applicants, please submit application by March 13, 2010. Applications are complete once the Office of Admissions has received: Recommendation letters, official transcripts, TOEFL score (from ETS) if first language is other than English, the completed application form and accompanying $65 fee.Location

Students may avail themselves of all the opportunities that Washington, D.C. has to offer due to our convenient location and easy access to public transportation.
Studying law in the nation's capital enables students to experience numerous aspects of the legal profession. The city affords daily opportunities to view lawmaking processes firsthand. Students can observe the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives and also regulatory agencies such as the Federal Trade Commission, Federal Communications Commission and the National Labor Relations Board. The United States Supreme Court and other federal and local courts provide insight into the judicial system. Federal administrative agencies and executive departments permit students to observe at close range the processes of American political and legal systems. The Library of Congress and several other special collections offer the best research resources in the world.
