I submitted my online application today. Also mailed everything off to LSE (references) and UCL (paper application) today. Now all that’s left to day is wait…

Hi guys!
Can you tell me if your transcripts were in English or if you had to translate them. If you had to translate them, how did you do this? My transcripts are in German.

Do KCL and LSE require a transcript of all grades or is it sufficient to provide a transcript of the law degree and the final grade?

Thanks

Hi! I'm not sure about the translation issue. My transcript was original in chinese, but my school provides an english version, so i just submitted the scanned english version.

How about do some research on KCL's website?

Hi.

My transcripts were in Portuguese, so I had to get a certified translation into English. I uploaded them altogether on the “myApplication” portal. And I just uploaded the transcripts regarding my law degree. I don’t have another higher education degree, but if you do you should upload it also.

But no need to upload anything else before you went into higher education (i.e. high school). KCL has a specific field for that, but it’s not a mandatory one and I don’t really think it’d make much of a difference to let them see your transcripts from high school.

Regards,

Hi.
Have you guys checked your “myApplication” portal recently? I’m just curious ‘cause mine is showing a checkbox written “visa sponsorship required” on the “application status” field and I don’t know what to do with that… I’m classified as an overseas student for fee purposes, but even so I don’t need a student visa thus I shouldn't need anything regarding visa. I sent an email to KCL asking what I should do with that checkbox, but I don’t think they’ll be replying to me in the near future. I’m afraid that might postpone the assessment of my application. Any thoughts?
Regards,

Hi, all!
I encountered with the same question. I check the box and saved, since Im also a foreign student who needs visa sponsorship.

But mine is not on the "application status" field, but on the "application summary" field.... i didn't find any "application status" field...

Regards

Thanks for your replies! That's what I will do now: procure translations of my transcripts, even if KCL writes on the application portal: If your transcripts are not in English, you should attach translations.

Hey, I have also submitted my application on 16/10 through King's online portal! As I have two references letters in hand, copy of which have already attached with the online application. I have also confirmed that it's deemed to be a valid submission of references. So, what i have to do is Wait and Wait!

I only choose IP law in the LLM programmes , hope that I would be in!

Nothing so far also. I think it’s going to take at least a couple of weeks to get a decision from them. But I’ll keep checking it daily.

Hi guys,

Application submitted on 22 oct, no reply so far (fair enough!).

Re checkbox written “visa sponsorship required”, I wrote too and they replied me as follows:

"We will contact you regarding this matter if we require more information. In the meantime, please bear with us while we process your application. There is no need, at this stage to send us anything related to Visa Sponsorship"

Note I specified to be a EC citizen and should not be asked for a VISA.

Keep each other posted in case of news!

I got the same answer from them earlier today about the checkbox. I too specified in my application that I don't need a visa for I've got a European Citizenship... although I'll have to pay the overseas fee, considering I've never actually lived in Europe.

i cannot understand the 'visa sponsorship required' prompt. particularly considering the fact that i am a british citizen..! attempts to contact the admissions office at king's have been futile so far...

i submitted my application on the 19th, and am waiting for a reply with a distinct lack of patience!

Hello!
My name is Clara and Im from Venezuela.

I am about to submit my online application, but I have a question regarding the recommendations: I registered my two recommenders in the online system, but they haven't heard anything about how should they submit the letters.

Could anyone tell me how does it work?

Thank you so much !

yes, clara, once you submit your online application, kcl will send out an automated email to your referees giving them instructions on how to upload their references. for this reason it is important that your referees regularly check the email addresses which you submit to kcl.

once your referees have uploaded their references, you should receive confirmation emails from kcl.

hope this helps!

Thank you so much. So it will be AFTER I submit my application that KCL will ask for the references to them?

Thanks!!!

Yea, I have also submitted my aplication on 16.10, but yet to have a reply. But I have previously sent an email for enquiry, it takes nearly one month to get the reply. So, probably, what we can do is to keep on waiting patiently.

btw, I have chosen the intellectual property law regime, anybody will focus on this aspect here as well?
