I have done my LLB from Pune and was working as a legal consultant in one Embassy at Delhi... What is your future plans after LLM ? Do you intend to join some international law firm in Singapore or in India?

I will probably come back and work here only.....no plans to work abroad....2-3 months internship to get to know the working of international firms is fine but no long term plans of settling there......when did you apply to NYU@NUS...i mean they release results on rolling basis and if you have applied late then u'll probably hear from them little late....do u know any of the Indians who got selected for NYU@NUS this year????

Hey. . i have also applied for nyu@nus and haven't heard anything from them yet. Anyone has any idea when they will inform everyone? or those who have been rejected for that matter??

If we haven't got into nyu@nus, but have also applied for nyu, does it mean we've been rejected for nyu@nyu as well? so it that decision intimated later?

Anyone has a clue?

@ Gaurav and Maximus........as far as i know, if you have applied for both the programmes then u'll receive the result earlier than NYU@NYC applicants.......and the chances of getting through nyu@nus are brighter than getting through NYU@NYC...........i know its sad that u hv not heard from them but beleive me there are lot of results to be announced.....last yr there were 53 students and this yr there are only 15-20 students hv been admitted so far (according to Facebook group and LLm guide sources)....and i think they release the results in phases because if 20 students hear in one go, only 10-15 accept the offer then again they have 10 more seats to offer to next lot of applicants.....i hope you are getting what i'm saying.......anyways all the best to both of you...........

Hello Brightest, I'm from Brazil. I am quite inclined to accept the offer. NYU@NUS program has been my first option since the beggining, but I'm still figuring out some practical stuff (such as money sources) before accepting...Nice to meet you here and I hope we meet in person in Singapore!

thanks, Brightest! Although I applied to the Singapore scholarship there was no mention about scholarship awards in the letter I received by e-mail. Could you tell where did you receive it? I mean, if it was mentioned in the main letter or in the form or in a separate document? Ah, do you know if the scholarship that was granted to you was the Singapore or the Marshall, or Mallal Scholarships?

Hi Brightest,

Sorry for the delay in answering your posts, last couple of weeks have been hectic.

I did accept their offer. NYU@NUS was by far my first choice (actually I had not applied to any other program). Now I’m waiting for them to deliver instructions to activate the NetID. By the way, have they sent you anything regarding this matter? (I guess they have a lot of work and probably will not deliver the instructions until they have released all decisions, but just to confirm).

I am also very confused with the accommodation options. I will likely make a reservation for a student hostel and stay there for some time before making a final decision. Nonetheless, I am not sure if that is the best way to go. I will likely speak with one of the current students during one of the following weeks and expect to have a better idea after that conversation. Have you considered any options?

The best of luck to all the applicants that are still waiting for a decision (Maximus, gaurav, nicemanin, bssb). I sincerely hope you are admitted.

Congrats to Pryn! Hope to meet you soon.

Hey Pryn. I also received an offer letter for NYU@NUS without any mentioning of scholarship. I got in touch with NYU about it and, unfortunately, it replied that if there is no mentioning of scholarship it means the candidate did not get one.

As such, I am not in a position to accept the admission offer. $43,000 USD in tuition plus living expenses is just too much for me right now. I hope you will be alright though.

@ Pryn......i think North450 is right that if they have not mentioned on ur letter then no scholarship has been awarded because the scholarship is mentioned on the very first page.....but its really sad as last yr most students got US$35K grant and dis year very few have got the scholarship and evn those who hv been awarded hv got less than this amount barring few students who hv got US$35K....and its the DEAN'S Award (neither singapura scholarship nor Hauser not even Marshall).......but i know ppl who have got lesser grant and have rejected their offer.....i know it would not look very good but you can contact NYU ppl and ask them if they can give you any funding out of the scholarship funds rejected by other applicants....i mean they will offer it to somebody then why not you...........all the best.....

@acm....i undersatnd....life gets busy sometimes.....i am still searching for most viable accommodation options and highly confused.....i will probably go for Evans Lodge for initial few mnths and then see what can be done......as far as I remember they have given the instructions to activate the net ID in the admission packet itself and they have mentioned that after signing the intention to enrol form, your net ID will be activated in a week or so.......i will check my admission packet and will let you know....i hv not done anything so far in this respect though........hope to c u in May........
