LLM in Human Rights law
Most Australian law schools offer human rights courses in their LLM programs. Since human rights is based on internationa law, you can study it anywhere -- the US, the UK, Australia ... and many, many other places. Sat Oct 18, 2008 03:35 PM So why Australia? I can think of two reasons. First, although places such as Oxford, Cambridge and London School of Economics (in the UK) and Yale, Harvard, UCLA, NYU, UPenn etc (in the US) are heads and shoulders above Melbourne and Sydney, their tuition fees are as high as their reputations. An Australian LLM is much more affordable Second, living expenses in Australia are more reasonable than London or New York, although Sydney is by no means cheap! But ultimately you need to decide on a LLM program that gives you a stimulating and rewarding learning experience. Look at the range of courses. Do they appeal to you? Look also at the timetable. Are the courses listed in the prospectus actually offered? (I was misled by what looked like interesting courses, but they were either not offered or cancelled at the last minute!!) xxx Laura |

will an llm in human rights law from a good law university in australia fetch me a job thereafter...i have an llb from india and about two years of corporate experience..i wish to work in a non profit ngo in australia after an llm....what are the chances of getting recruited??? pls suggest

It would depend on whether you are eligible to apply for a visa by yourself.
