Dear Mirela, Thankyou for updating me. Durham is really the good one. My inclination is also towards Durham. Hope to meet you there soon. Where are you staying at Durham. I have been offered membership from University College. What modules are you going to choose. Best of luck with your decision. I hope and prey that you become a great lawyer

Hey,
I think that both of you made the right choice.
Indeed, you took into account your personal choice and not only rankings.
Aberdeen is one place above durham but I think that here is not the essential.

It is important not to focus only on rankings but ot choose a town, a uni where you gonna feel well.

Good luck to both of you.

oshkhan,

ur lucky to have been offered a place at university college, a.k.a. "The Castle". because the demand for that college is too high, they raffle the names of the applicants. ur lucky to have been chosen.

there is a downside though. the rooms are old. it is a castle. what do u expect? haha

it is nonetheless very posh to live in a castle.

facilities are basically the same but the only thing with j. butler is that it is new. so, all facilities are also new.

to illustrate, the air conditioning/heating system of castle is of course a bit problematic, however, castle has a very posh tradition. u have formal dinners 2x a week in contrast to other colleges which may be only 2x a term. also if u want to experience the harry potter dinners, castle is it!

Thanks for your sarcasm "Peter.Smith"...think you only created this account for making this comment, he?
Anyway, the ranking on this website is based on views which I think is a very strong indicator for the actual reputation of LLM courses because if nobody is interested in a course it doesnt get any views. Logical, isnt it?
If you are interested, I am currently doing my LLB at University of Nottingham and am planning to do my LLM at Nottingham Trent University.
In addition, since when are LLM students researching? All they do is writing essays and exams. This is normal students work.
My kindest regards

Any ranking of LLM guide is not proclaimed to be any sort of guide for knowing the actual ranking of a university: It reads as follows:

"The monthly rankings in the Most Popular LLM Programs section are determined by the number of user page views per LL.M. program listing. Therefore, the "most popular" LL.M. programs are simply the programs that LLM GUIDE users have viewed most frequently. The number of user page views also determines the "popularity" of LL.M. programs in the geographic-based program searches."

So the popularity is not based on the how many reviews are posted or what someone has spoken about the University...!

the Popularity option only indicates the number of "hits" the website (which displaying the name of the University) has received only on that day...! That means how many people have seen the webpage of that particular University on that day. lol

It is irrelevant whether it is good or bad...!

If these popularity rankings are taken into consideration then...QMUL should be ranking first in UK....lol...that is indeed stupid...rather next to impossible.

So please i would suggest people to take the median of the rankings of all three ranking systems...it provides as good guidance....
